I want to create log file from can messages while Lexia connected to obd, but many message has dropped. My sd card is too slow to write all data? I start logging with can log crtd /sd/lexia.crtd command Closing log: Type:crtd; Path:'/sd/lexia.crtd'; Filter:off; Vehicle:MI; Statistics: total messages: 3334194, dropped: 2707476 = 81.2% In can log i can see the incoming messages? This is a RX message: 175594.785 1R11 346 27 10 40 00 00 00 00 42 if 1R11 is 1T11 this is a TX message on CAN1? How can i download the log file, the easiest way, because if i use browser and add the file url (ip/lexia.crtd) the browser load its content.

v3.2 hardware schematics and PCB layout

I’ve uploaded the v3.2 hardware schematics and PCB layout files. The boards are labelled ‘v3.2’ and this is the version that was recently FCC and CE certified. The only changes are related to EMC, and addition of components to bring that under control (doing it at board level avoids the need to change vehicle cables). We also made minor three component changes to meet ROHS requirements (a micro USB connector, and the red plastic dust caps on the antennas). You can find these documents in the vehicle/hardware/v3.2 directory. The first v3.2 hardware has completed all testing, and production of the first batch is in progress. We are finalising the CE and FCC documentation. EU kits (with CE conformity) should be available within the next week or two at Fasttech, and shortly after that at shop.openenergymonitor.com <http://shop.openenergymonitor.com/> (for direct distribution within EU). Changes in KIA e-Niro vehicle code

Hi I have made some changes in the code for KIA e-Niro: 1. Stability improvement by parting the polls during poll_off mode. 2. Added watch for change in accumulated charge to wake car when charge continues after stop. 3. Basic OVMS concepts

After a long period of procrastination it's time for me to get a OVMS module working in my Cadillac. If I can get it to the point where it doesn't kill the battery and lets me see where the car is it'll be about as usable as my free onstar account and I'll be able to kill that off. The last time I worked on it I was able to decode/display/store the vin. I thought I had figured out the car awake messages but a capture I made today makes me doubt I have that correct. Either way I don't think I understand what it is I need. I assume when the vehicle is "off" the ovms module wakes up periodically to check location, upload current status. And when the vehicle is "on" it stays booted. And this driven by some metrics? Looking at other vehicles I was using: StdMetrics.ms_v_env_on->SetValue(); StdMetrics.ms_v_env_awake->SetValue(); But I'm not sure what events should set/clear these. I'm used to thinking of a car being a few different states: off accessories on engine on engine running So I guess "awake" is when something wakes up the bus (e.g. door unlock, key fob press, door open, etc.) and everybody starts sending their "I'm here" messages for awhile and if nothing else happens they go back to sleep. I see logic for this in vehicle_nissanleaf.cpp (awake on certain can ids, asleep from a 1 second watchdog if StandardMetrics.ms_v_env_awake->IsStale()) Still looking at the leaf (which doesn't have an engine) StdMetrics.ms_v_env_on seems to indicate the car can be driven. Does that map to the engine running for a gas engine car? I also see logic in the mitsubishi but it's not obvious if the transition is accessories on or engine on. Are there other metrics I need to manage for miminal support? One of the things I was hoping to do with the Cadillac was capture the frames that onstar sends to the navigation head unit when you use the "send to in-dash navigation" feature of the onstar app. But the list of things you can do with the free onstar account has constantly gotten shorter over the last few years and it appears they've killed off this feature in the last month or so. Too bad because this would have been a neat feature to add to ovms. While I'm here... The J1850 tools I've built up are not at all helpful with canbus; but I have a raspberrypi 2 that isn't doing anything and I believe I can use it to get wireshark going with a skpang.co.uk "PiCAN2 CAN-Bus Board" so I ordered one. Speaking of wireshark and canbus, this video shows an interesting product: https://youtu.be/xZNszFTaP0A it has a mode that has a billboard which shows which can ids have been changing with lots of neat options like hiding and highlighting recently changed octets. I suspect it won't be difficult to write something with similar functionality. But I think my id mapping will go a lot faster if I can do things while watching a display. Craig

Great work developing OVMS, I've been running OVMS for nearly a year now in my Nissan LEAF and e-NV200. It's worked flawlessly, so much better than the Nissan Connect. I'm very enthusiastic about EV's and open-source solutions. I'm the co-founder of the https://OpenEnergyMonitor.org project to design and build open-source hardware and software tools for monitoring energy. We have also recently branched out into manufacturing web-connected EV charging stations in collaboration with OpenEVSE. I have been in communication with Mark and Michael regarding reselling OVMS hardware via our web store: http://shop.openenergymonitor.com. I have been working on producing an updated vehicle support table since the table currently on the website is missing a lot of EV's OVMS now supports. Can buses stop after some time

Hi all, I synced up with master about a week ago and since then I've seen both can busses stop working. I still see the 12v battery metric changing, but everything that comes from the car stops. Rebooting the module with "module reset" does not seem to fix it, while make app-flash monitor does fix it. I haven't tried make monitor on it's own. Is anyone else seeing behavior like this? Sorry for the vague bug report. I'll spend some time later this weekend to try to gather more information.

Vehicle Sub-Modules

Given that the vehicle modules in v3 are pretty independent, and don’t seem to require any changes to the core code to implement (other than a Kconfig section, and a sub-directory in ‘components’), I’m considering a structural change. The proposal is to make each vehicle an independent GitHub repository, and to use the git submodule functionality to bring them in. The advantage there is that those projects can be split off and maintained by different people. Project owners, looking after their own vehicle types, could directly commit to their own vehicle modules, without requiring this to be centrally managed. What do people think? Is that a sensible way of doing this? Regards, Mark.
