simcom 7600 board not responding

After restoring my main unit with a full reflash via usb I have lost communication with the 7600. The 7600 itself seems to be fine as I can connect via usb and send/receive AT commands. Before I look at the hardware rx/tx lines to see if there is anything being transmitted between the two boards I thought it might be sensible to reset the 7600 with AT+CRESET. I take it there are no custom settings and a reset will be fine? Any other suggestions on diagnosing the problem? I also noticed the PoweringOn and PoweringOff pulses do not match the specification sheet in the current code base, with a typical pulse of 500ms to turn "on" and min pulse of 2500ms to turn "off". Once I get my unit working again I will test and submit a PR. Many thanks

Compiling OVMS under WSL!

Hi all, I should probably have documented this closer so that we could include it in the instructions, though it's essentially the same as the Linux ones. That being said, I can confirm that Ubuntu running under WSL will happily compile OVMS! WSL 2 under WIndows 11 seems to somewhat cope with X11/Wayland and with sound (sometimes laggy), so I can use the X versions of git gui and gitk... Unfortunately the responsiveness of gvim is not great (some weird lag in the keyboard input) but using wsl as the shell in windows gvim works quite well! I've got a ovms.vim that sets things up. It seems VSCode using WSL is a possibility as well: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/remote/wsl imho I think this would be much nicer than dealing with mingw. //.ichael

[third attempt, apparently my opendkim sendmail milter was borked and needed to be restarted...] I updated to 3.3.003-518-gb6c10a59 a few days ago and noticed if I'm too impatient trying to ssh into the module after rebooting, it crashes. CAN message throughput

Do we have an idea what the polling throughput is? I haven't really dug into the poller code yet, but I suspect I might be overloading the poller. Responses aren't coming in when I expect them. Is there any notification when a Ticker takes more than one second? Is it possible for a ticker to be missed. For example, if ticker#9 takes more than one second, does it move on to ticker #11, possibly skipping ticker#10? Thank you

Looking for a twizy battery rebuild

Hi ! I hope it's OK to post this here. Sorry for the inconvenience if it is not. I'm looking for updated informations regarding modified batteries for the Twizy. Mine is down to about 4.5kWh (fully owned) after 8 years in service. What capacity could we reasonably reach with newer cells ? With plumetting prices for the cells, would there be anyone (preferably close to France) from whom I could buy all the required modules (including Twizy Virtual BMS), ready to fit in the battery case, or with a new case ? Internet outage
