12v Reference voltage

Can anybody explain, why changing the 12v reference voltage, or is that good? I get some battery notification because this. Hyundai ioniq 28 kWh. Can bus error while read canbus

Hi, I don't know what changed on my OVMS box, but I am no longer abl to read manually (in the shell) any PID with the "obdii can1 request...". I receive the tranmission failure error. But it used to work fine a couple of days ago. Other commands works great like "re obdii scan start...", so the connection with the OMVS box, communication on the OBD2 port, etc works fine. What could go wrong ? I tried to download the lasted image. Same error. A question regarding web dashboard plugin development has been asked on the forums. Grateful if someone could assist. https://www.openvehicles.com/node/4281 Hi everybody, Although I am not completely new to JavaScript programming, I am new to the concept of OVMS plugins and read the documentation regarding it several times.. I also got the fog light example up and running on my unit. But I guess I am missing something obviously important (that is not 100% explained in the documentation?) while trying to build a very simple plugin on my own: I don't want any events or updates, but simply extend the dashboard by some additional metrics read just once when initializing the dashboard. Duktape Vehicle

In a recent conversation with Mark we were talking about utilising Duktape more for perhaps even vehicle implementations. I'm wondering if a better approach is to allow any vehicle to be extended via hooks in the base vehicle class or would it be better to have a duktape vehicle that could be extended. There would necessarily be many bits to the puzzle. For example I have a class that allows us to know when blips to the 12V battery line might mean that somebody is interacting with the car so we should start polling the bus.. Should we put this (with a duktape interface) at the vehicle.h level? //.ichael

Access to a diagnostic session with private access

Hi, I need to put a ECU into diag mode and access private data in a secured session.I am supposed to send "10 03", then "27 03", receive a seed, and send the private key with "27 04".This is working fine with the terminal in CarScanner mobile app connected to a BT dongle, but when I try to use the OVMS box, the "10 03" is ok, but "27 03" return a serviceNotSupportedInActiveSessionerror. It is possible to start a secured / private session with the OVMS box ? Didier

Pull Request for new vehicle

[wow, I guess I suck at mailing lists!] Apologies for asking the list but I'm not having any luck searching the archives by eye, a month at a time (and google doesn't appear to crawl lists.openvehicles.com) Where are the instructions for building the version of ovms that uses a newer idf? What version of the toolchain will I need? Thanks! Craig

Thanks for the swift replies! So the deal is I do want to react to a shell command, means I do have a reference to the current writer. But since my code works asynchronously it's not easily possible to pass the writer to the other functions. I'll think about it some more :) I just wanted to return useful information also on the server web shell and Android app since I realized some people don't/can't use the built-in web shell (where I can output everything via log commands). sharkcow > Probably the best you can do is do a log. Download log files

How are folks downloading their log files? It seems like I cause a crash whenever I try to download a file from the web browser. Thank you
