Hi Mark, I think the length is okay, but perhaps it's worth ordering some cables with right and left-hand exit points for the ODBII cable. For Twizy owners, the exit of the cable isn't important as the ODBII port is in the glove box. On the Volt, the cable exits the ODBII plug on the correct side -- at least in the British one -- but I think the C-Zero and LEAF would benefit from cables which exit the other side of the ODBII port. Maybe a C-Zero owner could confirm? Exiting the ODBII plug on the other side would I believe, give a more aesthetically pleasing installation. Anyone else have any thoughts? Nikki. Just confirmed with my LEAF: the ODBII port is oriented such that the current cable gets in the way of the driver's knees. At the moment I think the cable exits nearest to pin 1and pin 9, but for LEAF drivers, it would be advantageous for the cable to exit nearer to pins 8 and 16… Nikki. OK, I had to switch factories but have managed to order the next batch of cables 50/50 left and right hand cable exits. Some cars have the OBD-II connector "pointing" upwards, and some downwards: [ WTF? They can standardise on a connector, but still can't decide which way up it should be? Good grief… ] For clarity, for this discussion let's treat the OBD-II connector pointing downwards (smaller end at the bottom of the connector - first picture above). If your car has it the other way, please stand on your head while making comparisons. Now, we have 2 types of connector: A: Lefty: Left-side cable exit (with vehicle OBD-II connector pointing downwards): B: Righty: Right-side cable exit (with vehicle OBDI-II connector pointing downwards): For each of: Leaf Volt/Ampera Twizy and others you guys are working on Can you confirm if (A - lefty) or (B - righty) is better for your car? HI, here the pics from my Volt (EU Version, Driver side: left) Driver side (left) Passenger side (Car side: right) The Connector is on the left side of the passenger side. What you see on the left side is the "transmission tunnel" ;-) For both sides the lefty fits good. You can see the used pins. What i'm looking for is an Y-Cable with side outlet. An Y-Lefty. :-) The cable you see at the pic above is for the DashDaq. In the moment i have a Y-Cable with the cable at the back. Not so good.
