For you guys with iOS devices (iPhone, iPads, etc) I would appreciate help testing the latest iOS release that is up on testflight. If you've previously registered with TestFlight for OVMS, you just have to open the eMail on your iOS device and follow the install link. This build adds testflght metrics, to better allow us to track down and fix bugs (in particular crashes). It also fixes two crashes we identified in the last testflight release. I've loaded the latest release and have a couple of issues in demo mode on iPhone 4S. I'm not sure of the correct way of reporting these so I'll just start here :-) 1. I sometimes see the control button on the home page but not always... am I supposed to do something to display this button? 2. Kevin, I just "upgraded" the module in the demo car ;-) Could you try again? The charge display should work now. I also put in some code to pick up the real ambient temperature in Hong Kong so you can see us suffering as summer approaches. My car just reported 42 Celsius ambient (as the front of the car is in the sun). Thanks, Mark. P.S. Kevin, I just submitted another version to testflight. This fixes all the crashes I've seen so far (testflight is really working out well for this, and helping me to clean-up the code). It also adds a little "(i)" info button to the car status screen lower-right, when the car is connected. Pressing that will bring up a screen with information on the car. VIN, version of OVMS firmware, etc. The server firmware version is currently missing (not sent by the server) and I'll get that fixed tomorrow. Again, help testing this testflight release would be most appreciated. Just follow the download links in the email invite testers should have already got. Regards, Mark.
