I need to go to a concert now and have not done server yet. Someone else can do it, or I'll be back about 5:30 PDT. -- Steve
Made changes for v2 server. Pushed and pull request created. But, a question and a problem: Question: Should the server status require secure mode? I coded it yes, but wonder if it's better left as not secure. Problem: Couldn't do much testing, as I can't get the v2 server to connect. Stays at "starting"... Did something break in the network connection stuff, or is there a problem with the server itself? The phone app seems to connect ok. Possibly related, if I tell the server to stop, then to start again, the start command never completes (never see an ovms prompt after). This is before I changed the security settings. Ok, so the stop / start thing didn't repeat, and I see that the server v2 status contains nothing sensitive when connected. So, I've downgraded Status to not being secure. Pushed. Greg Greg D. wrote:

Same changes made to v3 server commands (protocol, start, stop are secure, status is not). Pushed. Pull request, I think, should cover all three...? Greg Stephen Casner wrote:

Mark, Your reply to my security summary said that server v2/3 status was OK, but your commit 8ec098b39bf98dc9d9faf907df371bf84fbeac74 made all of server hidden. Did you change your mind? I also have a tweat for clarity to commit, but it does not change functionality. -- Steve
Yeah. Just seemed simpler to keep things minimal for the moment. I worry about things like server being connected to are sensitive (on my list of things is to expand the server status command to show better status and connection issues). Here is what I now see: OVMS # disable OVMS > ? boot BOOT framework enable Enter secure mode exit End console session help Ask for help network NETWORK framework simcom SIMCOM framework time TIME framework Regards, Mark.
