Now i create a factory reset from the webUI shell with the following command: factory reset -noconfirm But after this the OVMS not boot i wait 10 mins. Reconnect and working. Now if i access the sd card with the following command: vfs ls /sd i get many error: E (1030196) uart_events: uart event type: Frame Err but read the card, tomorrow remove the ovms from the car and add usb cable to access it and reformat the sd card i think. After restart the procedure from factory Michael Balzer via OvmsDev <ovmsdev@lists.openvehicles.com> ezt írta (időpont: 2024. dec. 30., H, 10:57):
Last time I had a similar effect (needing to power off to reboot) was due to a subtle corruption of the /store partition. These still occur, and in my case I could even write data normally to /store.
Doing a factory reset & restore of the last backup solved it for me.
The tool that might help debug this is the USB console. It works already during the early boot phase, so will probably show some info on the cause of a failing boot.
Unfortunately my trained reflex was simply doing the factory reset, before thinking about capturing logs on my unit.

My gut feel on this is that it is to do with the shutdown procedures. (And possibly something I did).
I'm wondering if Michael Balzer can shed any light on what might be going wrong or if he has some other tools that might help debug what is going on with that.

I have the same problem here with OVMS not booting after updating the firmware. I also need to unplug to get it starting again.
I compile the firmware by myself, upload it to my server and update via the http link to my server in the ovms web interface.
Kind Regards

Now, during the holidays, I had some time to start solving my problem with the OVMS development environment again, since the basic ESP 3 is EOL, so it doesn't work, but luckily I managed to find a solution. ( https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/issues/14809)) The car with the OVMS is an ioniq 28kwh I noticed that the car's 12V battery was very low. the last time I went, the ovms froze while charging, it read 78% all the time, and I already drove 100 km with it. I didn't bother with it, but I noticed that the 12V battery was not charged, then I looked at it and there were no can messages. I restarted it and then the dive started again. My other problem is that no matter how many times I try to put another firmware on it via Wi-Fi, it won't start, I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Could you give me some advice on where I should go in troubleshooting?
