Hey there. I’m the maintainer of the Ioniq 5 code, and it has not been tested on an EV6 afaik. One ‘Douglas Urner’ previously asked about this and I didn’t follow up. Certainly previous iterations of Hyundai and KIA cars share an implementation in OVMS, so there’s no reason to think the EGMP based EV6 and Ioniq 5 would be the same and . Oooh.. this is promising though .. from this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gipJjN-ITzg from the description: Car Scanner ELM OBD2 app (Car Scanner PRO full version) for iPhone iOS and Android connection profile: Hyundai Ioniq 5 / EV6 / Genesis GV60 / G80 Electrified +iCar 2 Vgate bluetooth elm327 adapter The code should already cope with some variations in battery size (cell count at least). I should have thought of this before today, but there’s a group of EV owners in Perth that meet once a month (ish), and while Teslas dominate the group– there’s at least one EV6 owner that regularly attends. I could try my OVMS out on their car to be absolutely sure. The next meet-up is next week. //.ichael From: OvmsDev <ovmsdev-bounces@lists.openvehicles.com> On Behalf Of N A Sent: Saturday, April 13, 2024 10:18 PM To: ovmsdev@lists.openvehicles.com Subject: [Ovmsdev] EV6/IONIQ5 I'm completely new to OVMS but very interested in learning how to contribute. I have an EV6 and would love to be able to use it with this system. I looked through the listserv archives and have noticed a few requests and discussions about the Kia EV6 but no indication that it's being worked on. If not, I'd like to see if I can help. I know that there are folks working on the IONIQ5, which is very similar to the EV6, so, my first question -- has anyone tried to use the IONIQ configuration on an EV6? If they do share a platform, which could be the case, it would seem possible that it is already supported, just not officially -- or am I mistaken? If so, I'm happy to order an OVMS box and test things out. If not, I'd like to see what else I could do to get the EV6 supported and/or perhaps collaborate with others.
