Mark, attached you find the translation. I found a mistake in the original one <string name="Yes">Yse</string> <string name="Setings">Setings</string> Please have a look at the german translation in the app, as german language is often much longer and might not fit all buttons. It should also be checked by other german people if the translation fits the context. Patrick Am 09.05.2013 um 07:22 schrieb Mark Webb-Johnson <mark@webb-johnson.net>:
Patrick,
Latest phrases up at:
https://github.com/markwj/Open-Vehicle-Android/blob/master/OpenVehicleApp/re...
Please download that file (click the Raw button) then translate the text to German, and eMail me back the result. I'll add it to github for checking.
Thanks, Mark.

Kevin,
Looks like @openvehicles didn't get copied on those replies. I found one for Dutch and another for German in your @zerocarbonworld list, and have DM'd both to get it going.
Thanks, Mark.

Denis,
I did a quick review, and the strings seem to be correctly put in the resource file. I don't see any hard-coded.
Attached is the strings.xml. I hope it is self-explanatory. Only about 120 to translate.
If others can step forward for German, Norwegian and Dutch, that would be helpful. Please let us know you 'grab it', here, to avoid duplication of effort.
Regards, Mark.
P.S. Description of the Android localisation process is here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/localization.html
P.P.S. I look forward to seeing the translations for the first string "<string name="app_name">Open Vehicle</string>" :-)

Hi,
If you provide me the file with the strings to translate, I will do it for French. I think every user would rather see the messages in his native language than in English.

Here are some stats, from the Android app (google play store version), based on Active installs (trying to remove the install-once-to-see-what-it-is crowd):
