I've added a short toast on command success, showing "OK" or the command response. Am 05.02.25 um 10:08 schrieb Chris van der Meijden:
Today I can explain the complete connection breakdown.
My Wifi-Router was misconfigured. That was my bad. Sorry.
The other issues still remain though.

From the beginning on I saw, that the "running as service" dot did not appear on the app icon and that the connection of other apps (my KWGT widget and my fireplace app) did not work (I did set the settings for that features).
In the last days I saw that the app sometimes didn't want to connect to the server. Changing the view from "vehicle" to i.e. "settings" did bring the connection back.
Today I had a complete breakdown of the app. No connection to the server possible at all anymore. Deleting the cash did not help. Uninstall and reinstall of the "old" app brought back the connection. So I'm back to the old app for now.

Yep I meant the home screen.
The customizing feature works great.
The progress display on the climate control button is indeed not self explaining.
Thanx

Chris,
the current feedback of the command being successful is the progress display on the button disappears without an error toast. But you're right, that can easily be missed, especially with a fast connection. An explicit success feedback would be better.
Regarding the "two homelink buttons", I assume you mean the quick actions on the home screen. Those are just the defaults, click long on the buttons to customize.

Hey Michael,
I installed the new version and things seem basicly to work for me so far.
Our e-UP is connected via ODB and T26A. Climate control ist working. What I'm missing is a response that the climate control message is accepted. The end result with red arrows layer over the car looks nice, but I would prefer a two step approach. 1. message accepted, 2. result OK (the red arrows). The situation on the wake up button is simmilar. I get no visual response, if the wake up is working (like making the text bold in the old UI).
The two "home link" buttons on the vehicle screen look lost and mess up the design (the icons look very different). I only have room for 5 buttons on a row and due to the two home link buttons we have six and therefor a second row with only one button on it. Not that pretty ...
So far my first impressions.
Regards
Chris

Everyone,
I've merged the UI redesign into `master`. I've been using this for 3 weeks now without issues, but I can only test my vehicle (VW e-Up), and I still can only test the pure OBD installation on that one.
Please install the latest build (https://github.com/openvehicles/Open-Vehicle-Android/tree/master/latest) and test for issues with your vehicle types & configurations.
A big "thank you" to DFJ (Developer From Jokela), impressive work!
Regards, Michael
