Craig, From what you sent before, it just seemed that the PPP link could not be established. The CSQ figures you show below indicate the dev board has a better signal (and production is marginal): Value RSSI dBm Condition 2 -109 Marginal 3 -107 Marginal 4 -105 Marginal 5 -103 Marginal 6 -101 Marginal 7 -99 Marginal 8 -97 Marginal 9 -95 Marginal 10 -93 OK 11 -91 OK 12 -89 OK 13 -87 OK 14 -85 OK 15 -83 Good 16 -81 Good 17 -79 Good 18 -77 Good 19 -75 Good 20 -73 Excellent 21 -71 Excellent 22 -69 Excellent 23 -67 Excellent 24 -65 Excellent 25 -63 Excellent 26 -61 Excellent 27 -59 Excellent 28 -57 Excellent 29 -55 Excellent 30 -53 Excellent I am not aware of any limitation / restriction on inactive PPP cellular data connections - I guess that would depend on the configuration of individual operators. Can you configure the dev board to send some data? I am not really sure how to help here, seeing the little extracts of logs you send and not knowing your environment. From a troubleshooting point of view, the logs should show the cellular activity and behaviour of the modem. Regards, Mark.

From the logs, it seems the GSM link is established, but PPP could not be connected. Could this be a merging coverage area (although the CSQ of 13 seems fine), or some other problem with data connection? The error messages 'NO CARRIER’ and '+PPPD: DISCONNECTED’ are from the modem itself.
There aren't any ppp error messages until 12 hours after bootup. I ran the dev and a normal module in side-by-side windows and the verbose cellular/simcom messages look similar for the first 12 hours.
I can also see the dev module (sim7600) is active on https://dashboard.hologram.io
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
Is it a problem that the dev box is not configured to upload anything to the V2 server?
Craig
