[Ovmsdev] Looking for a twizy battery rebuild

Jérôme,

I've lost track of all the Twizy battery projects that have been or are
currently done. After I sold my Twizy two years ago, quite a lot has
happened.

Some of the new batteries were based on the edriver BMS, but as Pascal
no longer maintains that project, most current projects are based on my
VirtualBMS solution (https://github.com/dexterbg/Twizy-Virtual-BMS) in
combination with some standard China BMS.

There are also quite some that simply replace the cells and keep using
the original BMS. That has some downsides but basically works.

Capacity of custom batteries normally is around 10 kWh, that easily fits
in the original battery box, but you can go higher with the right cells.

The most used Twizy replacement battery is probably the CATL powerblock:
https://www.power-and-storage.de/shop/CATL-PowerBlock-14S-48-10-48V-10-kWh-p464606239

You really should check out the german Twizy forum for all the battery
projects: https://www.twizy-forum.de/Alternativ-Akku

And you should get in contact with Martin ("Snorre") and Christian
("TwizyChrisy") on the forum. Martin was one of the first to rework his
battery and is up to date with all current projects. Chris owns a lot
(like: a lot) of Twizys and is continously working on projects.

Chris has also published some videos on his CATL rework:
https://www.youtube.com/@TwizyChrisy/search?query=akku

Probably these guys can also help you with buying the components needed.

Regards,
Michael
