Got another report on this already.
This time, no data structure was changed, just functional changes.
There is absolutely no need to discard the config, I have no idea
why Android decides to do so.

That was my fault. I haven't checked Dimitrie's pull request
as thoroughly as I should have.
He made a change to the CarData model that broke the
serialized compatibility. New fields always need to be added
at the end.
That's why only the cars were lost this time.
