"a2l" is in the support directory: https://github.com/openvehicles/Open-Vehicle-Monitoring-System-3/tree/master/vehicle/OVMS.V3/support

Pass it the .elf file of the build that crashed & the backtrace to get the source lines.

Example:

balzer@leela:~/esp/Open-Vehicle-Monitoring-System-3/vehicle/OVMS.V3> a2ll tmp/3.3.004-236-gd6eaf8ae-elf/ovms3.elf 0x4008ddae 0x4008e049 0x400849ef 0x40084b15 0x40142cd1 0x40137f0b 0x4013799a 0x40093027 0x4008449d 0x400848f9 0x4000bec7 0x4026ee1d 0x4012bb62 0x4012bb71 0x40322936 0x40126aeb 0x40126c79

"a2ll" is "a2l" with the output piped to less. You can pass both backtrace variants.

I keep the latest builds locally at hand and also provide the .elf files in the firmware repository on my server.

Michael

Thanks for the suggestion.

It seems that something got corrupted in my setup. I had non-ASCII characters in my config list, and I wasn't able to perform a backup properly. After doing a factory reset, everything is back to normal.

Could you clarify what the a2l script is that you mentioned? I'd like to check my memory and crash backtrace as you suggested.

Appreciate your help!

Via http and scp, never had issues downloading the logs.

Maybe check your memory situation & the crash backtrace using the a2l script.

Michael

How are folks downloading their log files?

It seems like I cause a crash whenever I try to download a file from the web browser.

Thank you
