This code is from OvmsVehicleFactor::SetVehicle

My question is about what happens when NewVehicle() returns NULL.

Should  m_currecntvehicletype,  v.type  and the SignalEvent  all be set as blank?  Any particular reason why only the v.type is set as blank?
