Attn: Kia Soul EV developers

FYI: The attached feedback message arrived in a support ticket. I responded:

I will pass on your message to the Kia Soul EV module developers. I think that some of the behaviour is intentional (for example the left blinker only while locking), but don't know enough about that particular vehicle support module to be certain.
In general, if you see bugs in the firmware, the best place is to raise them directly on GitHub here:
https://github.com/openvehicles/Open-Vehicle-Monitoring-System-3/issues
This support ticket system is only for general usage issues.

If you would like to correspond directly with the user, let me know and I will forward email address.

Regards, Mark.

rwk1501 has created the ticket 'Problems with disconnecting OVMS and losing
KIA SOUL EV data':

Ticket text:
------------------------------

Good day.
My vehicle configuration is KIA SOUL EV year of manufacture 2004 Vehicle ID:
<REDACTED>, OVMS Firmware: Server 2.1.1 -20121216, Car: 3.1.005 /
ota_1 /, App 3.12.4. Operator 4G-Tmobile. GPS and GSM antenna original OVMS.
OBD II connector new version left side also original OVMS. I found more
problems that are not working on this configuration and Android app as they
should. When I close my car with the original key, OVMS shuts down and no
longer auto-opens with the OVMS app and loses application data such as
mileage and vehicle status or is locked or unlocked. When the vehicle is
locked through the application, only the left side of the hazard warning
lights flashes and not all of them still close when the key is closed. After
four hours of OVMS, the tire pressure and battery temperature data are lost.
Reading the tire pressure values is always correct or almost always
does not correctly load one of the wheels. The app is not displayed at all
when the passenger's rear door is open and even when the charging port door
is open. The problem is even when the OVMS unit is unplugged, so when you
reconnect, it will lose the connection data on the vehicle and then you can
not log in to the vehicle and have to reconfigure it. In the OVMS
application, the CAC shows me a value of 52.72 Ah sometimes, even though a 50
Ah battery is installed in the vehicle. and SOH is 110% Wakeup car is not
working. Is it planned to add the air conditioning and heating function of
the vehicle, as well as heating and cooling the seats and possibly also
heating the plant? It would increase the comfort of using such a vehicle.
Thank you in advance for answer. Sincerely, Peter Kravec
