<div class="">From a customer point of view I would agree with the automatic switch and a merge of Smart ED and EQ, but from a developers point of view I would like to first start with a seperate module, cause the can ids have nothing and really nothing in common [1] and to merge it would mean we always have to test both the ED and EQ part of the module when making changes and pull it into the live system to get sure the EQ part defeats not the ED part and vice versa.</div>

<div class="">In our current state, where there is much work in the ED and EQ part it would make the work of developing difficulter for us and I expect a later merge as less time-consuming than a merge at this state.</div>

<div class="">[1] From the Can-Ids the Smart EQ is a Renault Zoe and not a Smart. Lucky me there is a lot more documentation for Zoe and I can find the necessary ids and information faster than investigating from scratch.</div>

<div class="">Regarding the 4th generation ED/EQ support, that sounds great. If at all possible, please implement this by extending the existing Smart ED module, with a switch to control. This can either be a configuration option, or determined automatically via can bus traffic.</div>

<div class="">For iPhone, the server setting is in the iOS Settings App (the gray gears App on the home screen of your phone), not in the ovms app. You will find a “Open Vehicles” area in that.
