I also have a very poor GPS signal even with the expensive passive
antenna, the final module really needs to support active ones.<br class="">
<br class="">
There's also a slight chance your pigtail cable is broken. That has
been an issue on some chinese RC transmitters recently, but I don't
think that's the issue with your GPS, just a poor antenna.<br class="">

I’ve tried the tiny passive antenna I ordered, but I just can’t
get any GPS signal. I’ve tried with GSM-antenna too, but got
nothing :-(

That’s insanely expensive, especially if it’s no good!
<div class="">
<div class="">I’ve just ordered one of these just to
test it: <a href="https://www.ebay.com/itm/1PC-Ceramic-GPS-Built-in-Antenna-Passive-Antenna-PAD-Cell-Phone-Watch-Antenna/132408954278?hash=item1ed4304da6:g:PO0AAOSw%7EuhUoQT-" class="" moz-do-not-send="true">https://www.ebay.com/itm/1PC-Ceramic-GPS-Built-in-Antenna-Passive-Antenna-PAD-Cell-Phone-Watch-Antenna/132408954278?hash=item1ed4304da6:g:PO0AAOSw~uhUoQT-</a></div>
<div class="">It is small and will be hidden under the
seat in the end, so it might not be a good solution,
but it’ll be interesting to test.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">The GSM-anteanna I use with the V2 is
very nice as it tucks really nice between the window
and the dashboard. If it works well, I might go for
a second GSM-antenna 🙂</div>

that sounds great :)<br class="">
<br class="">
Regarding the passive GPS antenna, I've got
mine now, it's this one:<br class="">
<br class="">
<a href="http://shop.aixtema.de/lancom/passive-antenne-gps-5m-sma-plug.html?___store=en&___from_store=default" class="" moz-do-not-send="true">http://shop.aixtema.de/lancom/passive-antenne-gps-5m-sma-plug.html?___store=en&___from_store=default</a><br class="">
<br class="">
…and it's a bit disappointing. I don't get
any better results than with the simple GSM
antenna. It's more the opposite, I had 10
satellites with the GSM antenna<br class="">
in about a minute, this GPS antenna needs
around 10 minutes to get there and then
doesn't get better.<br class="">
<br class="">
So maybe you could first try a second GSM
antenna instead. Or maybe the LANCOM antenna
is garbage, it's one of the cheapest passive
antennas available.<br class="">

through to the OVMS app on my iPhone.<br class="">
Fantastic job guys!<br class="">
As soon as my health is ok again, I can
start testing the hardware in my car and
verify the data and fix the bugs. The Kia
Soul should be almost on par with<br class="">
the V2, with a few things added.<br class="">

Just wish I had a case... And I need to

This is looking good! <br class="">
