[Ovmsdev] No GSM connection

Chris,

The modem power on/off is not instance. Think of power off like shutdown on a computer (with the shutdown taking a minute or so), and power on like turning on your computer (with the actual boot sequence taking a minute or so). You can see this with ‘cellular status’ and the states ‘powering on’, ‘powering off’, etc.

The reason I mention that is that I suspect the reason you don’t see ICCID is the modem is not fully powered on and boot up complete.

I suggest you reboot the module. Then watch ‘cellular status’ to see the modem power on. When fully on, check the ICCID and hopefully it will be there. If not, then there is some problem reading the SIM (but then seeing a network registration status would not make sense).

As to the registration searching, that is pretty low level and controlled by the modem. It simply can’t find a network to connect to. Are you certain you still have 2G coverage there?

Regards, Mark.
