[Ovmsdev] HUD Connected to OVMS not working

I have a simple multimeter without clamps or clips and I was hoping not to
destroy the splitter cable... So while I possibly could, also I feel that
I'm getting beyond safe operating area for myself.
Note that I tried another simpler HUD at my local Jaycar with similar
results (they kindly let me try it in the car).
I'm inclined to think you are right though about the component.
