[Ovmsdev] Connection issues

Matt,

It looks pretty clean.

Do you know the time between the "AT+CIPSTART" "CONNECT OK" and the "CLOSED"? There is a 30 second timeout (at the server side) for login, so if you get this around 30 seconds that is expected and normal.

The other thing I can suggest is to change net.c NET_INIT3 to the version ending with "E1" (you will see the first line is E0, and then the commented-out line is E1). Then, get a log of the port while the module is trying to initialise. That way you can see the commands and responses. Maybe it is a timing issue...

Regards, Mark.

It does not echo what I type (though I can set a local echo) is that normal?

Both physical networks work at times, but both also fail at times. This is true in a wide area (I have tried as far south as Perth which is about 100 miles away) so it can't be an issue with the local cell tower. There is no O2 coverage in my area of the country (despite what their coverage map claims). I think I may need to return the hardware.
