Thanks for your work on this. Most helpful.

I have broken vehicle.{h,c} at the moment, trying to get the OBDII polling stuff working. I'll merge your changes in later this week.

P.S. Who'd have guessed that "+" has higher precedence than "<<", and that I'd waste 3 nights of my life chasing down a stack corruption in an interrupt handler :-(
