Mark,
Thanks for the quick answer. Bad luck if we can't tamper with the
immobilizer using the CAN. Very bad luck .
Regards
Oliver

Oliver,
The non-US cars have an immobilizer that cannot be affected by the CAN bus.
Better security but it means that can bus lock/unlock cannot affect the
alarm or engine immobilizer. So, yes, expected behavior.
The US cars don't have an immobilizer, and lock/unlock on the CAN bus will
also enable/disable the alarm.
Regards, Mark.

Hi everyone
When unlocking my Roadster (2.5, EU-Model) via the OVMS-Android-App, the car
acknowledges the unlock-command and unlocks the car (everything seems to
work like a charm so far).
But after the car is unlocked I cannot open one of the doors without
triggering the alarm. As soon as I open the driver or passenger door the
alarm goes off. Looks like the OVMS sends the unlock command to the
Roadster, but the Roadster does not disable the car alarm system after the
unlock.
Is that a well knows behavior or can anyone confirm this issue?
Thanks
Oliver
