80 electric days - first world round trip race

I've been contact by Mr Rafael de Mestre, who in 2011 undertook the 10,000km European "Tesla goes east" tour. He is now trying to urgently arrange a round-the-world trip in his Tesla Roadster - starting 1st May 2012, and attempting to complete the trip in 80 days. He is trying to catch up, and overtake, a pair of Frenchmen who have started already.

Mr de Mestre has one problem - he needs to travel through China and is trying to find out how that could be arranged.
